Trump has made it clear that he is going to use his executive power to “disrupt the business of America,” including by putting a stop to American jobs and businesses.
But that doesn’t mean he’s going to go out of his way to put Americans out of work.
In fact, the president is going after businesses in his first full year in office by ordering a series of retaliatory tariffs against imports of American goods and products, including steel, aluminum, automobiles, food and other consumer goods.
He also will have the ability to impose “job-killing” tariffs on imported goods if he wants to.
Here are five reasons why this is a dangerous idea.

The Trump administration is planning to impose a series (at least) two rounds of tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum, as well as other products.
Trump is hoping that by imposing these tariffs on steel and aluminium, they will force companies to invest in upgrading their factories.
But if the U.S. steel industry is already in such a bad shape that it cannot compete, the U
